Berkeley: Introduction to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction,

In this fun and interactive class, learn why mindfulness meditation is such a powerful tool for lasting personal transformation. The class includes findings from the latest research on mindfulness, a video of Jon Kabat-Zinn, pioneer of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), and some sample meditation techniques. This is also an opportunity to learn about and register for upcoming 8-week mindfulness intensives in the San Francisco Bay Area. At the very least you will come away with a better understanding of what mindfulness is and how it can help you live a happier and more balanced life.

This free online class includes a review of the 8-week Mindfulness 365 curriculum as well as a sample guided mindfulness practice. There will also be a chance to ask questions and to find out how to register.

Mindfulness in Daily Life: a Free Webinar

When: Tuesday, January 24, 7:00-8:30 PST
Where: Online WebEx Classroom.
In this free online webinar, learn about the practice of mindfulness and how it can promote health, well-being, and personal effectiveness. Though mindfulness as a practice is grounded in the traditions of ancient Buddhism, it can be practiced by anyone. The webinar includes a sample practice session as well as strategies for bringing mindfulness into daily situations like driving a car or eating. Participants will also have a chance to chat with the instructor.
