Mindfulness Practice Group
Monday Nights 7:30-8:30 at Yoga Kula
The focus of this Monday night drop-in class is cultivating presence, awareness and awakening in daily life. Through the gentle persistence of regular meditation practice, guided inquiry, and open-heartedness, wisdom can arise in even the most ordinary of moments. Each session consists of a 30 minute teacher-led meditation, followed by a short talk on a relevant topic, and then a group discussion. All levels of experience can attend. People of all ethnicities, sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome.
Location: Yoga Kula, 1666 SHATTUCK AVE, Berkeley.
Cost: The class is offered freely but with the expectation that enough participants will contribute to cover the cost of the room and support the teacher. Contributions can be of any amount, and can be made below. No one will be turned away from lack of funds.
About the teacher: Bill Scheinman has taught meditation for more than 20 years in a variety of community, clinical, and corporate settings.
